Found Pikes Peak Insurance while seeking a local independent agent. After 36 years of being in the hands of another insurance company, I was tired of feeling like a number or a trophy in the agent's client book. PPIA cut my total insurance bundle by ~35% for equal or better coverage. All, repeat, all of the folks in the office are personable, professional and caring, but my primary contact has been Gretchen. I don't know what she's getting paid, but they need to double her salary! She's intelligent, professional, and funnier than my Aunt Judy trying to learn to water ski on her 82nd birthday. I end up smiling for the rest of the day after one of our conversations. However, don't let her demeanor fool you. She has a core of steel, and I danged well wouldn't want to upset her. My previous company was being difficult when I notified them that I was canceling and was making me jump through all kinds of hoops demanding the cover page from my entire new portfolio in order to, as they put it, "...ensure that your coverage needs are still being met." After fighting them for almost two weeks, I turned it over to the pit bull side of Gretchen, and she had the policies cancelled in less than 24 hours through two emails.
